Miller J. Whitten focuses his practice on insurance defense, construction litigation, and civil litigation matters. He is committed to providing thoughtful legal analysis, thorough preparation, and practical advocacy to clients throughout every stage of litigation.
Before joining Burke Moore Law Group, Miller gained experience through multiple legal internships in both the public and private sectors. He conducted legal research, drafted motions and discovery, and assisted attorneys in matters involving civil litigation, real property disputes, construction law, bankruptcy, probate, estate planning, and commercial leasing. His experience handling a broad range of legal issues has provided him with a strong foundation for representing insurers and insureds in complex litigation.
During law school, Miller interned with the Office of the Public Defender for Florida’s Twentieth Judicial Circuit, where he conducted legal research, drafted dispositive motions, and analyzed evidence and discovery in major felony cases. He also served with the Utah State Courts and Utah County Justice Court, gaining valuable insight into judicial procedures and court operations.
Miller earned his Juris Doctor from Ave Maria School of Law, where he was a Smith Fellow in the Rod Smith Business Law Institute, served on the Honor Board his second and third years, and served as a Board Member of the Moot Court program. He earned his Bachelor of Science, cum laude, in International Business Management from Utah Valley University, with minors in Portuguese and Latin American Studies.
Fluent in Portuguese and conversational in Spanish, Miller enjoys serving clients from diverse backgrounds. He also spent two years in Curitiba, Brazil, performing volunteer leadership and community service. Miller is also an Eagle Scout.
